Oh Happy Day

So Audrianna has been sick with a nasty cold since I want to say last thursday night. She went to the er this past Monday night. We weren't able to get a follow up with her pediatrician till yesterday even then we didnt actually see him because well he's in guatamala til the 17th. But We saw another pediatrician the one my daughter sees when her pediatrician is not available yes my daughter has 2 pediatricians nice right. So She did everything the hospital did not do. She checked audriannas o2 Stats. 100 which was great, She then listened to her lungs. She said the right one sounded funny this is also the lung that the bottom half tends to collapse when Audrianna gets bad colds that and because she has asthma. She decides Audrianna needs a breathing treatment we are used to this. She then looks at Audriannas throat it is very red so she orders a strep test. She also looks at the rash on Audriannas back. She said its a skin condition I forgot what she called it and its common with kids sometimes usually its on there arms. It has to do with something building up around the hair follicles. She said some moisturizers with alpha hydroxy in it should help. So a nurse comes in with the nebulizer machine and medicine for it, But first they swab her throat for strep. then Audrianna gets her treatment she keeps the mouthpiece in her mouth the whole time. After shes done they check her stats again which is fine, The dr listens to her lungs they sound great now, She says the strep test was negative. But wants to put Audrianna on amoxicillian so that the runny nose will clear up and the cold before Audrianna is due for the ph probe on the 18th. Anyways Audrianna woke up today sounding great and looking even better she was so happy she ate great. which is good cause yesterday she weighed in at 27lbs 3 oz. I didnt give her a breathing treatment cause she didnt seem to need it and her nose was not running either. I held off on the amoxicillian cause I wante dto call the gi dr first and make sure it was ok for her to be on while she gets the ph probe they called back and said it was perfectly fine. Shes on it for 10 days. Now I am waiting for her to get home from school which should be soon and see how she is doing.
