What are the early signs?


Early signs of cerebral palsy usually appear before 18 months of age, and parents are often the first to suspect that their infant is not developing motor skills normally. Infants with cerebral palsy are frequently slow to reach developmental milestones such as: learning to roll over, sit, crawl, smile, or walk. This is sometimes called developmental delay.
This was how we knew something just wasnt't right with audrianna, she couldnt roll over, she always kept her hands fisted.  We knew by the time she was 5 months old that something wasnt right.


Some affected children have abnormal muscle tone. Decreased muscle tone is called hypotonia, the baby may seem flaccid and relaxed, even floppy. Increased muscle tone is called hypertonia, and the baby may seem stiff or rigid. In some cases, the baby has an early period of hypotonia that progresses to hypertonia after the first two to three months of life. Affected children may also have unusual posture or favor one side of their body.



Parents who are concerned about their baby’s development for any reason should contact their physician, who can help distinguish normal variation in development from a developmental disorder

Doopsy Diaper review and Giveaway

Joana weber the women behind Doopsy Diapers was nice enough to send me a Doopsy "SD" Diaper, 1 Minkee Super Doopsy insert and a FuzziBunz organic changing pad to review. 

At first when we got the diaper it did not fit charlee because she was only 5lbs 15oz at birth Joana said That he doopsy diaper fits best on babies 10lbs and up.  Well I am pleased to say that at 8lbs 1.5 oz Charlee fits in her Doopsy  Diaper in fact she fit in it at 7lbs 15oz. 
I seriously would love to come across a diaper that we don't like but so far that has not occured.  I was very pleased with our doopsy diaper and have decided that this diaper will probably be our night time diaper. 

The only thing I wasnt really found of was the way the insert was.  Audrianna loved it tho she ran around the house using it like a sock puppet I kinda wish i took a picture of it.  But other then that the craftmanship was great, the diaper is super soft, so are the minky inserts, The snaps work great.  and I really like the oraange color.
