11 seizures total and a trip to the ER from school

I'm starting to learn that with Audrianna I can never venture to far outta town when shes in school. I was running my friend to the registry so she could turn in her plates. While in the registry the school nurse calls me which I am used to she usues calls me to tell me how things are. Wednesday Audrinna had 3 seizures at school and want acting like herself so they had me get her from school cause they were worried about sending her home on the bus. When i picked her up and was driving home she had one more seizure and fell asleep like 5 minutes after. When we got home i called her neurologist and waited for the callback ect. The nurologist finally called back and started her on 1/4 tablet of klonipine for the seizures she takes it at night. I went to pick the script up and she stayed at home with daddy when I got back an hr later she was fast asleep on daddy on the couch. I let her sleep for a lil longer then woke her up to eat dinner, cleaned her up , gave her her meds and then put her to bed. Yesterday morning she seemed a lil tired but we were told the klonipine does that. So I sent her to school on the bus she was also a lil cranky. So at 9:30 I called to check on audrianna at school the nurse said she had already had 1 6 sec long seizure but after was happy and back to eatting snack. I wanna say at 11 I got another calle from the nurse saying Audrianna had 2 moe seizures and they were gonna calle the nuerologist and see what the neurologist wanted them to do cause the seizures were 30 minutes apart and aud had a order to be given diastat if there a few minutes apart. So she called the neuro called me back said she was waiting to hear back. As im heading back to bring my friend home from the registry its now noon I get another call The school nurse said Audriannas seizures were closer together and they administered diastat and called 911. So my friend rushed me to the school and she dropped me off took my car to her house. And I ran into the school they were getting ready to wheel her into the back of the ambulance they were waiting for me. The nurse makes a copy of the seizure logs gives it to the paramedic then tells me the neurpologist just called and they let her know aud was off to the hospital. As im in the ambulance the paramedic is radioing the hospital and says Audrianna had a total of 7 seizures. I nearly cried 7 seizures. And 4 the day before thats a total of 11 seizures in 24 hrs. She fought falling asleep from the diastat she never really fell asleep at the hospital they monitored her ran some labs her levels were actually really good. So we were discharged after 5 hrs of being in the hospital. Her daddy came and picked us up and he watched Audrianna so i could go get my car and I visited my friend for a lil bit. He had audrianna fed, gave her her meds and had her asleep. I was impressed. the hopsital said obvipusly the klonipine hasnt started working yet and it does take awhile and to continue the klonipine if she has anymore seizures to call the neurologist and they will start her on zonagram. So now so far we have only been having seizures since hanuary first 2007 may have been 8. And shes been on trileptal, keppra, trimictal, depokene, and now klonipine. Shes still on the depokene and klonipine but all the others didnt work. Its scary cause the seizures are shorter but now shes having more a day usually only 1-3 a day never 7. But anyways shes doing fine today a lil tired she slept til 9am Im also a bit tired we are gonna attempt to go to my nieces bday party today its just a low ey bday at my sisters. And we will see how that goes.

Oh and We are getting a packet in the mail from ucp of berkshire county for anyone who reads my blog and doesnt know what that is its the united cerebral palsy of berkshire county. We were reffered to them by a family friend and hopefully they will be helping us get much needed equipment for Audrianna. they will be comming out and seeing her too.

We talked to the lady that works at ucp and also works at a local buisness that runs the sumer camp for kids with disabilities, they also have a lending trial thing for ommunication devices. We were talking I guess her son has a disability then she was telling me about getting diapers through health insurance so she told me its quicker to go through this medical supply place that is where we get Audriannas 60 cans of pediasure a months. So I called them they said they were going to send us out some samples. then we decide what we like best fit wise we call them and tell them they send the letter to her pediatrician he writes a letter stating that shes almost 4 and wont be potty training anytime soon and all thats wromg with her, then they send the letter to audriannas health insurance and we will eventually be getting diapers. Its so much better Cause I dont work her dad is currently unemployed Audrianan doesnt get much for SSI. And shes needs diapers and wipes or both home and school so I am buying to big boxes of diapers costantly cause Audrianna pees a good 2-3 times at school sometimes more and then she pees a good 6 times at home.

We have been waiting forever to reach out and get some help for Audrianna besides drs and so on. But I didnt want to get financial help and so on. Cause its like that final sign that theres something wrong with my child. But the fact that she is probably getting a feeding tube, then the surgeries she has and is getting , plus the frequents seizures its definatly a sign. We were going to go to a funraiser today at a neraby medical center the funraiser is for the above buisness that lends out communication devices and since they are going to try and help us get one at a lower cost or for free I feel i should go but we have a bday party for my niece around the same time. i've known about the bday party longer. We might try to do both i'm not sure. I dont want to overwhelm audrianna today tho. Well anyways I am off she needs a bath and i need a shower we both still smell like hospital I will update u all on audrianna and the ucp progress and so on when i can. As u can guess things have been quite hectic here.
